Vilma vs Goodell

Lebron James has won 3 MVP awards in his young career. Lebron this year won his 3rd because of his outstanding year. He lead the Miami Heat to one of the best seasons ever. and himself recorded countless of highlights and triple doubles.
The other canidates for the MVP award were, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and Tony Parker. All those player oosted their teams play alot. But Lebron and the Heat just ominatedthis year. They were the team to beat and a team that when you played againist would just chalk up a lost.

76ers Playoff Hopes

Our Philadelphia 76ers have just clinched a playoff spot as of April, 23. After beating the Bucks from Milwaukee the kicked them out and put themselves in. Now the only challenge is getting a higher seed. The first couple are locked down be the Heat, Bulls, Spurs, Lakers, and Grizzlies. So they 6ers have to settle for a lower or middle seed, and hopefully get on a wave of momentum and carry them to the playoffs. If so there is a possibility they can make it through the playoffs. My best bet for them is the Semi Finals. Which is good for a formally mediocre team, a lock out, and new coach, the cards were stacked against them, but the overcame and got to the playoffs.

Torry Holt Retires as a Ram

Hall of Fame prospect Torry Holt officially retired as of April 3, 2012. He signed a one day contract so he would retire with the team he was drafted by, won the superbowl, and branded himself in the fans hearts. The St. Louis Rams.
Torry Holt played 173 games, had 920 catches, 13382 yards, 74 touchdowns, and one superbowl. He was the leading receiver for the Rams, and played with Hall of Fame Running Back Marshall Faulk. He then went on to win the superbowl led by their QB Kurt Warner.
After a couple of seasons he played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, he wasn't very successful with the team. He then became a sports analysts and then retired from football.

March Madness?

This years March Madness tournament hasn't been well to mad. Its been expected victories and expected losses. The teams that we all expected to be in the final four are in it and the teams that we didn't aren't. I look forward to the tournament for excitement, and heartbreaking games, and clutch wins. Their has been plenty of those but the victor, is always the favorite to win. The ratings for the teams have been pretty much telling the story. And the experts have been right. Which shouldn't happen during March Madness.
The less expecting teams are supposed to make a run at the championship. Maybe even win the tournament itself thats the fun in tournaments in general. Its Cinderella stories. How the least expecting team wins big. But its been the exact opposite. Which shouldn't happen. Maybe the final four will be better. And lets hope for underdog stories next year.

Sean Payton Suspened

Saint Head Coach Sean Payton has been suspend for a year. This is big news to any sports fan knowing how if the coach is gone more than likely the team will suffer. He was suspended for a "bounty scandal". The Saints gave players money injuring targeting players. Players targeted consist of Cam Newton, Kurt Warner, and Brett Favre. The defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was banned from the whole league. He was rumored to be the ringleader of the scandal. Giving the money to the players, and encouraging their violence. Football is a contact sport but the goal should not be to injure players while doing so.
Sean Payton has appealed his punishment. Which makes sense, even though he did know of the scandal. He wasnt a full participant in it. Hopefully his appeal gets listened to because the Saints need their head coach.

Mike vs Kobe

When most people hear "Mike vs Kobe" they think Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. But this battle is Mike Brown and Kobe Bryant. The Lakers new coach (Brown) and the all-star (Bryant) havent been seeing eye to eye lately. Arguing in practice and on the court, Mike Brown even went as far as benching Bryant late in a game.
Thats no way to win LA's six ring in a decade. To win championships the coaches and players nust see eye to eye. And to win a championship your best player has to be in the game. They need to handle their differences work out a gameplan, and start to winning games. To get a high seed in the playoffs and get momentum heading into the playoffs.

Kyrie Irving: John Wall Remix?

Kyrie Irving is this years first overall pick. Went to Allstar Weekend, and is a tremendous player. A true rookie sensation. Electrifying his team the Cavaliers, and their fans. Highflying dunks, and alley-oop lob passes. He's Australian born and his dad was a professional basketball player. Kyrie is like no rookie the NBA has seen before. Except for John Wall.
Last year John Wall was the first overall, went to the Allstar game, and changed his team (the Wizards) he even changed the uniforms. John Wall was BIG NEWS last year. But this rookie sensation is Kyrie. Their both point guards, wear the same number, and explode at the basket. So are Irving and Wall going to be elite players?

Tebow and Manning Exchange

The Denver Broncos have been major this offseason. They came into the offseason with big hopes for their future teams. Going to the divisional round in the playoffs, and going 8-8 with their new starting QB Tim Tebow. But John Elway wasnt happy with Tebow to keep him.

So this offseason they got Peyton Manning for their new starting QB. Manning was released by the Colts and was the biggest player on the free agent market. He as signed to the Broncos for 96 million dollars and could really help the team. He could be a possible Hall of Fame QB maybe the best of all time from his former performances.

But with signing this amazing QB what do they do with Timmy Boy. Some wanted them to keep him as a back up but obviously the Broncos dont feel that way. They traded Tebow to the Jets and he might be a starter there. No one saw any of this coming. But sports are always unpredictable.

New Crown in LA

When most people think of LA sports teams they think Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. But this season a new NBA team is looking to be the new Los Angeles household name. The Clippers! The Clippers also share the Staples Center with the Lakers, but have not been as productive as Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. The Clippers over the off season they acquired Chris Paul one of the best and fastest point guards the NBA has to offer. He averaged 9.8 assists, 2.4 steals, and 15.8 points a game before he left his former team the New Orleans Hornets.
By bringing in such an elite player the Clippers fan based increased and was the team to watch. With already have their forward Blake Griffin last years, Rookie of the Year, and dunk contest winner, the Clipper seemed like a very fun and exciting team. And they haven't disappointed. Winning more than 3 quarters of their games.
With all the pre hype surrounding the Clippers, they took away some of the much older Lakers hype. And now since the Clippers are playing better than the Lakers who really dominants LA?

Two Championships in the Big Apple?

The New York Giants are Superbowl champions after beating the Patriots this 2011-2012 season. After New York celebrated its third Lombardi championship, a new piece of metal might be coming to New York. The New York Knicks are fast rising to the NBA's elite team status. With veteran all-stars Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony, and rising stars Tyson Chandler and Jeremy Lin the look like the team to beat. With the speed and quickness of Jeremy Lin, the power of Tyson Chandler, and the shooting range Melo and Amare provide. They are a force to be reckoned with.

The Knicks are a above .500 win team, but there star power might take them places in the playoffs. More so the NBA Championship. The Knicks might be one of the youngest talents the NBA has to offer so they will make mistakes. But if the ball bounces their way, and if they stay out of penalty and foul trouble. A championship is sure to come. Maybe this season even.

1st Overall?

The NFL Draft is going to be a fun thing to watch this year. The Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck was rumored to go first overall, in the draft. But now a new quarterback Robert Griffin III has challenged the GMs choice of picking luck. Robert Griffin can throw and has Mike Vick speed. Is the type of player Cam Newton was last year. Put your self in the position of the Colts general manager. You have the first pick. Who do you draft. Andrew Luck smart, tall, and a great leader. Or Robert, lightning quick, gunslinger, great on the deep ball. But also if your the Colts GM you ALREADY HAVE AN ELITE QB!!! Peyton Manning is the top of the NFL since 1998. So you could draft another one for the future or you could draft another position. Like the Running Back from Alabama Trent Richardson. Trent is fast, never gives up, and runs with power. Hes not one of the biggest backs but he hs force and speed, which is deadly combination. The Colts dont have strong running game so who knows what there going to do. Work on the future or the present

Slow Wizards

Wizards have lost more than half of their games. Expected to come running out the gates being a powerful young team. Hungry for a wins and a some what elite team in the NBA. But the Wizards having been moving slowish. Not completing plays, not getting the star power they expected out of John Wall, bad coaching jobs already firing one of their head coaches. Everything that can go bad for a team HAS gone bad for the wizards. Injuries are also apart of their problems. The Wizards need to step up there play if the expect to compete with the NBA's elite.

Knicks Playoffs?

The New York Knicks Just acquired NBA All Star Carmello Anthony. So now with two All Stars Amare Stoudemire and Mello, the Knicks were supposed to  be the team to beat, but they've been winning, but just puling them out. Like they're just beating teams like the Bobcats, whats going to happen when the face NBA's elite teams like the Heat.  Or even ok teams like the Clippers. I think they need to get their team chemistry up, so everyone will be in the game to utilize their star studded roster. Because the Knicks could easily be elite but they have to work harder than they thought. The question is can they win a champion ship and make the playoffs.
